Row 1 (right side): Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each rem ch; ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sc in each dc to beg 3 skipped chs; sc in 3rd ch of 3 skipped chs; ch 5, turn.
Row 3: CL (see Pattern Stitch) in first sc; ch 1, sk next 2 sc; * in sc work (dc, ch 2, CL); ch 1, sk next 2 sc; rep from * across to last sc; dc in last sc; ch 2, turn.
Row 4: 2 sc in next ch-2 sp; * working behind prev row, dc in next sc on 2nd row below, 2 sc in next ch-2 sp; rep from * across to turning ch lp; 2 sc in lp; sc in 3rd ch of turning ch-5; ch 3 (counts as first dc on following row), turn.
Row 5: Dc in each st to turning ch; dc in 2nd ch of turning ch-2; ch 1, turn.
Row 6: Sc in each dc across to turning ch; sc in 3rd ch of turning ch-5; ch 5, turn.
Rep Rows 3 through 6 until desired length. Finish off.
Hint for best results in finishing is to leave ends long and weave the ends through the work using a tapestry needle.
