Instructions

Over a multiple of 2 sts + 1 + 2 edges sts.

NOTE: Each time you alternate the stitches, on rows 8, 14, 20, etc., you make the st in row below under the extra yarn from the stitch from previous row.

Row 1 (on right side): K across.

Rows 2, 4 and 6: P1 (edge st), K1, * K next st in row below, K1 *, repeat from * to * ending with P1 (edge st).

Rows 3, 5 and 7: K1 (edge st), * K next st in row below, K1 *, repeat from * to * ending with K next st in row below, and K1 (edge st).

Rows 8, 10 and 12: P1 (edge st), K next st in row below, * K1, K next st in row below *, repeat from * to * ending with P1 (edge st).

Rows 9, 11 and 13: K1 (edge st), * K1, K next st in row below *, repeat from * to * end with K1 and K1 (edge st).

Repeat rows 2 to 13 for a total of 12 rows to be repeated.

Continue in pattern until desired length. Finish off.
