X-Stitch Snuggle

Beautifully artistic and versatile. The X-Stitch pattern is one of my favorites.

Materials
Worsted weight (or doubled sport weight), acrylic or cotton
Crochet hook (suggest H or I sizes)
Pattern Note
This pattern uses an advanced stitch and is well worth the effort.
Instructions

Chain a length to equal desired width in multiples of 2 + 1.

Row 1 (right side): dc into 4th ch from hook, dc in each stitch across, ch3, turn.

Row 2: dc in next 2 sts, [skip next st, dc in next st, dc in skipped st (X-stitch made)], repeat X-stitch to last 3 sts, dc in next 3 sts, ch1, turn.

Row 3: sc in each st across.

Row 4: Repeat row 2.

Rep rows 3 and 4 until desired size, end row 4.

Last Row: dc in each st across. Fasten off.

Hint for best results in finishing is to leave ends long and weave the ends through the work using a tapestry needle.
